| # Archaic Guild Guide: Gearing Up For PvP in MoP | |
| > **TL;DR:** The best way to gear up is a hybrid approach. Get your **first daily win** in a regular Battleground for the huge bonus. After that, the most reliable method is to farm **Heroic Dungeons** for Justice Points and convert them to Honor Points in Orgrimmar. Join "YOLO RBG" groups if you see them, as they can be the absolute fastest method. | |
| --- | |
| ## Method 1: Direct PvP (The Obvious Path) | |
| ### Regular Battlegrounds (BGs) | |
| This is your standard method for earning Honor. The single most important thing you can do is get your **first win of the day**, as it rewards a massive bonus chunk of Honor and Conquest. | |
| * **Pro-Tip:** Even if our faction struggles with wins, always queue for at least one BG a day to hunt for that first victory. The reward is too big to ignore. | |
| ### "YOLO" Rated Battlegrounds (RBGs) | |
| You will often see groups forming for "YOLO RBGs" in the group finder. The goal of these groups is to lose the match as quickly as possible on purpose. | |
| * **Why do this?** A fast loss still awards a small amount of Honor and Conquest. An efficient YOLO group can farm points faster than sitting through a long, drawn-out regular BG that ends in a loss anyway. It's boring, but it can be effective. | |
| ## Method 2: PvE Conversion (The Reliable Grind) | |
| ### Heroic Dungeons & Scenarios | |
| This is the most consistent and stress-free way to farm Honor, especially if you're tired of losing BGs. | |
| 1. Queue for random Heroic Mists of Pandaria Dungeons or Scenarios. | |
| 2. Completing them will reward you with **Justice Points (JP)**. | |
| 3. Tanks and Healers will have the fastest queue times here, making it extra efficient for them. | |
| ### Converting Justice to Honor | |
| Once you have a good amount of Justice Points, head to Orgrimmar. | |
| * **Location:** Find the **Justice Trade Goods** vendor in the Pandaria hub area (Valley of Strength, near the main gate). | |
| * **Action:** You can trade `500 Justice Points` for `250 Honor Points`. There is no limit to how much you can convert. | |
| ## Method 3: Supplemental Sources (The Extras) | |
| ### Tol Barad & Wintergrasp | |
| These are large-scale world PvP battles that happen on a timer. If you see a message that a battle is starting, it's worth joining. You get a good amount of Honor for participating, and a large bonus for winning. | |
| --- | |
| ## So, Which Method Is Actually Fastest? | |
| Let's be real, you just want the gear. Here’s the breakdown so you can choose what's best for you. | |
| > **Most RELIABLE Grind: PvE Conversion** | |
| > Running Heroic dungeons is predictable. You are guaranteed points for your time. No relying on teammates, no frustrating losses. If you just want to turn your brain off and grind, this is the way to go. | |
| > **Potentially FASTEST Grind: YOLO RBGs** | |
| > If you can find an efficient group that gets into games and loses quickly, this method can give you the most points-per-hour. However, time spent looking for a group or waiting in long queues cuts into its efficiency. | |
| > **The SMARTEST Strategy: A Hybrid Approach** | |
| > 1. Start your day by queuing for **regular BGs** until you get your **first win**. | |
| > 2. After your win, switch to farming **Heroic Dungeons** for a reliable stream of Justice Points to convert. | |
| > 3. While you're grinding, keep an eye on the group finder. If a **YOLO RBG** group is actively running, hop in and see if it's faster. | |
| > 4. Do **Tol Barad** or **Wintergrasp** whenever they are active. |
