Mortgage Visualizer - Support

About the App

Mortgage Visualizer helps you understand your home loan by showing exactly how your monthly payment breaks down and changes over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the app?

  1. Choose your input mode at the top: Home Price (if you know the purchase price) or Loan Amount (if you know how much you're borrowing)
  2. Adjust the sliders or tap the values to type directly
  3. The chart updates in real-time to show your payment breakdown

What do the chart colors mean?

  • Green - Principal (builds your equity)
  • Orange - Interest (cost of borrowing)
  • Blue - Property Taxes
  • Purple - Homeowners Insurance
  • Yellow - PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance)
  • Teal - HOA Fees

What is the diamond marker on the chart?

The diamond marks your "crossover year" — the point when you start paying more toward principal than interest. This is a significant milestone in your mortgage.

What is PMI?

Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) is typically required when your down payment is less than 20% of the home price. The app automatically shows PMI inputs when applicable.

How do I see the amortization table?

Tap the table icon button in the top-right corner to switch between chart and table views.

How do I share my results?

Tap the share button (square with arrow) to export your mortgage breakdown as an image.
