2. launch Brave using Rewards staging

6. upgrade to 1.31.x (latest)
7. ... (confirm the wallet(s) are decrypted)

5. close Brave
6. corrupt the wallet by adding junk characters to the wallet in Preferences
7. upgrade to 1.31.x (latest)
