Alternative Control Review: CheerTok Air

Review: CheerTok Air

Last updated Feb. 18, 2026

What Is It?

The CheerTok Air is a tiny (2.5” tall by 1.5” wide) black fob that acts as a hand-held mini-trackpad with several buttons. It has a USB-C port for charging and connects via Bluetooth.

The primary use case is for remote control of an iPhone for various tasks (e.g. taking selfies, social media surfing, etc.) without holding or touching the phone.

What I Liked

  • Works fairly well overall
  • Cursor is responsive and can be adjusted in Settings app; you need to tap trackpad to register a click
  • Slide to scroll (side edges to scroll up and down, top edge to scroll left and right) was surprisingly good for such a small size
  • The left chevron acts as a right-click, which is convenient
  • Home button works to show and hide app menu
  • Volume buttons work to control system volume
  • Very tiny, fits in one hand so you can use it without a desk or table
  • Is also compatible with iPhone and iPad, so you can use it for multiple devices
  • Controls the Mac cursor in Mac Virtual Display

What I Disliked

  • Top buttons don’t seem programmable, so they seem non-functional on visionOS; you can probably get away with just the one-button version of CheerTok Air
  • Music control is flaky: Previous/next song button combo works, but not play/pause combo
  • In some apps (e.g. Safari) there is cursor drift (usually downward) between placing a cursor and tapping the surface to register a click (it’s too bad it doesn’t have a physical “click” feel but this is a common limitation of trackpads); doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does, it can get a little frustrating to register a tap/click

The Final Verdict

If you only need the trackpad occasionally to click on things while using Vision Pro, this is a handy thing to have nearby. It is especially useful when traveling when you may not have lots of room to use gestures. It is not perfect, but I like it more than dislike. Super tiny and portable makes it a good choice for active travelers who only need occassional use of a trackpad.
