Accelerate zsh

  1. Temporarily enclose your ~/.zshrc file with benchmark instructions:
zmodload zsh/zprof
...
zprof
  1. Disable, fix, and/or remove the bottlenecks.
  2. Remove the zsh proviling instructions from your ~/.zshrc file.

Common culprits include Oh My Zsh.
