Wait, so you can find the file but deleting it doesn’t reset the timer? Try reinstalling logic if yes.
thanks robocopys this seemed to work today the problem was the library folder that wouldn't show up. this does still work appreciate your time everyone thanks

Just use the manual method I explained above.
1/ Open a Finder window
2/ Open your personal (User) folder
3/ There double click on the "Library" folder
(if you don't see the Library while in your personal folder click on"View" in the top (Finder-)menu ,there click on "Show View Options" and in the new small window click on "Show Library Folder")
4/ In the "Library" folder double click on the "Application Support" folder
5/ When you're in the "Applcation Support" folder type on your keyboard the keys Command-Shift-Dot together and hidden files are shown
6/ There delete the grey file called .lpxuserdata
7/ The Logic Pro Trial period is reset
8/ Type on your keyboard the keys Command-Shift-Dot together
and the hidden grey files are hidden again
I confirm, it was the wrong library folder. I'm new to macos. Everything works
Still works today on Sequoia 15.6. (mv -v ~/Library/Application\ Support/.lpxuserdata ~/.Trash)
Enter into terminal: mv -v ~/Library/Application\ Support/.lpxuserdata ~/.Trash
Can confirm this worked for me, had to go to my Finder Settings to show my User folder

im on tahoe and cant find the lp file has it been patched ?
Is it still working?
Is it still working? I am new on MacOS and i have already updated the OS to tahoe 26.2. And my trial version is going to expire soon, so just wondering if anyone on the latest MacOS have tried this command?
Ive tried it, it doesnt seem to work anyore and everythng else I tried no longer works i think they may have patched the trial redownloads.
Im on Tahoe 26.2
I cant even find the Trial for download anymore :/
You can look this up if I’m not exactly right with the details but Logic Trial isn’t available as a stand alone application anymore. I believe they are no longer offering the free trial with only logic but as a bundle not available until later this month I think. It’s going to be a month free trial instead of 90 days. 😭 Hopefully people figure out the reset later on.
hi doghead, I've followed these steps and gone into the user files and searched for the .lpx folder since I updated to the latest version 15.5 it stopped working prior to this it worked just fine. can I please ask if your on the same updated version.
before this update I had no problem locating the folder and deleting it and renewing the 90- day trail.
cheers
