1. SSH into server and sudo to root:

ssh service@university.edu
sudo -s

2. Change the SELINUX variable in /etc/selinux/config to permissive to prevent unforeseen and difficult to diagnose issues:

SELINUX=permissive

3. Add the following lines to /etc/hosts file:
