Privacy Policy for It Begins With A Name

Overview

It Begins With A Name ("the App") is a baby name recommendation app developed by Josh Skeen / nAIve software LLC. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Quiz responses: Your answers to the personality questionnaire are stored locally on your device only
  • Favorites: Names you save as favorites are stored locally on your device only

Information Collected Automatically

The App uses Google AdMob for advertising, which may collect:

  • Device advertising identifiers
  • IP address (anonymized)
  • General location (country/region level)
  • App usage data related to ad interactions

How We Use Information

  • Local data (quiz responses, favorites): Used solely to provide personalized name recommendations. This data never leaves your device.
  • Advertising data: Used by Google AdMob to display relevant advertisements

Data Storage

Third-Party Services

You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings:

  • Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
  • iOS: Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising > Personalized Ads

Children's Privacy

Namecraft Baby is intended for adult users (expectant parents and families) seeking baby name recommendations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require account creation or personal information input.

Data Retention

  • Local data: Remains on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the App
  • Advertising data: Managed by Google according to their data retention policies

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to delete or provide. To clear local app data:

  • Android: Settings > Apps > Namecraft Baby > Clear Data
  • iOS: Delete and reinstall the App

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
