Commit counts use git log --all which searches across all branches, not just the default branch
Author identity normalized by email address to handle cases where the same developer uses multiple git author names
"Repos" counts unique repositories with at least one commit by that developer
PR and issue activity not included in this report — commit volume only
Comparison to previous version (GitHub Search API)
This report uses local git log --all instead of the GitHub Search API. The Search API only indexes commits reachable from the default branch, which significantly undercounts developers who work primarily on feature branches. Key corrections:
