Subject: Sunsetting the K2 Product: December 31, 2026
Hi there,
Throughout the course of this year we will be winding down support for the legacy, Slack-based version of our Kolide product, “K2”, culminating in its final end-of-life date on December 31, 2026. To continue using Kolide after this date please contact us to upgrade to 1Password Device Trust.
What this means for you
K2 Customers:
- K2 services will fully end on December 31, 2026. We recommend transitioning to 1Password Device Trust in advance.
Device Trust customers with K2 access:
- The K2 experience (including the Slackbot and access to k2.kolide.com) will become unavailable on January 1, 2027.
- All end-users should be fully transitioned into the Device Trust experience by the end of 2026.
Timeline

Jan 1, 2026: Annual subscriptions of K2 are no longer renewable. Monthly subscriptions remain available until December and customers may transition from an annual plan to a monthly plan at their next billing cycle, or to a 1Password Device Trust plan.

February 27, 2026: K2’s v0 API end-of-life.

December 1, 2026: Monthly subscriptions are no longer renewable. All subscriptions will be cancelled at their next bill date.

December 31, 2026: Final end-of-life. Support and subscriptions end.

January 1, 2027: Access to k2.kolide.com is revoked, all services including the Slackbot are wound down.
