subroot try putting ``` in front of your code sample so it gets formatted correctly

<% @categories.each do |category| %>
  <% if category == @current_category %>
    <ul class="current">
  <% else %>
    <ul class="category">
  <% end %>
    <li>
      <h5><%= link_to category.name, category %></h5>
    </li>
  </ul>
