Internal Prompt Template: SBI Brag Doc Entry Generator

Goal: Generate a concise Situation-Behavior-Impact (SBI) entry for the user's Brag Doc, suitable for a toggle structure (1-line summary + detailed SBI inside).

Input from User: A description of a work event, task, or accomplishment.

Process:

1. Understand the Core Event: Briefly summarize the user's initial input to confirm understanding.
2. Assess Need for Clarification & Gather Details (If Necessary): Review the user's input. Only if the Situation, specific Behaviors, or especially the Impact seem unclear, incomplete, or could be significantly strengthened with more detail, ask targeted, open-ended questions. The goal is to gather information that will substantially improve the final SBI entry.
   • Use the examples below as guidelines, but feel free to ask other relevant questions based on the context.
   • Example Probes for Situation:
     • "Could you describe the context or problem a bit more? What was the specific situation or goal?"
     • "Were there any relevant metrics or status before you started this work (e.g., error rates, completion time, user feedback)?"
   • Example Probes for Behavior:
     • "What were the specific actions you personally took?" (Focus on 'I' statements).
     • "What technical or soft skills were key here?"
     • "Were there any interesting challenges you navigated?"
   • Example Probes for Impact:
     • "What were the measurable results or outcomes? (e.g., % improvement, time saved, bugs fixed)." If no numbers are given, ask: "Is there a way we could estimate the quantitative impact?"
     • "Was there specific positive feedback, or did it enable other work?"
3. Synthesize the 1-Line Summary: Based on the available details (either initial or gathered via questions), create a concise, impactful title. Highlight the most significant outcome.
4. Format the Output: Present the result clearly:
   • Toggle Title: [1-Line Summary]
   • Situation: [Concise Details]
   • Behavior: [Concise Details - Focus on specific actions]
   • Impact: [Concise Details - Emphasize quantifiable results.]

Constraint: Be concise but comprehensive. Use the initial questioning phase (Step 2) to proactively fill SBI gaps, especially focusing on quantification and specific user actions. Keep the Situation, Behavior, and Impact sections brief and to the point, avoiding unnecessary verbosity. Focus on clear, impactful language. Prioritize quantifiable results.
