Mac OS X path for userChrome.css:

~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/gdvmfdc5.default/chrome/userChrome.css

Observations:

  • the name of the profile directory varies, gdvmfdc5.default above
  • you may have to create the chrome directory
