HealthSync Privacy Policy

Overview

HealthSync ("the App") is developed by Nimble Books LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Health Data

HealthSync accesses the following health data from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission:

  • Activity Data: Steps, distance, active energy
  • Sleep Data: Sleep duration and quality
  • Vitals: Heart rate, blood pressure readings
  • Workout Data: Exercise sessions and calories

User-Entered Data

  • Mood scores and notes
  • Symptom logs
  • Personal health observations

What We Do NOT Collect

  • Your name, email, or contact information
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers for tracking
  • Financial information (subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple)

How Your Data Is Stored

All health data is stored locally on your device. HealthSync does not upload your health data to any external servers. Your data remains under your control at all times.

AI Reports Feature (Pro)

If you subscribe to HealthSync Pro and use the AI Reports feature:

  • Anonymized summaries of your health data are sent to Claude AI (Anthropic) for analysis
  • These summaries contain no personally identifiable information
  • Summaries include only aggregated metrics (e.g., "average sleep: 7 hours", "mood trend: improving")
  • Data is processed in real-time and not stored by the AI service
  • You can use all other app features without enabling AI Reports

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal health data with third parties. The only exception is the optional AI Reports feature described above.

Apple HealthKit

HealthSync integrates with Apple HealthKit to read your health data. We:

  • Only request access to data categories needed for app functionality
  • Never write data to HealthKit without your explicit action
  • Follow all Apple HealthKit guidelines and requirements

Per Apple's requirements, HealthSync will never use HealthKit data for advertising or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

  • Local data: Stored on your device until you delete the app or clear app data
  • AI processing: No retention; processed in real-time only

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View all data stored by the app
  • Delete: Remove all app data by deleting the app
  • Revoke: Remove HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings

Children's Privacy

HealthSync is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
