(Not Really) A Guide To Setup Dolphin & KDE File Picker On Niri - Arch Linux

My Thought On Making This

I have looked around online and noticed a lot of users that moved to Niri come from KDE, or were using Dolphin on their previous WM/DE and want to use it on Niri. The problem is that unlike Nautilus, the Dolphin experience on Niri is not out of the box, it has a lot of issues. 90% of the time you open Dolphin the first time it doesn't work properly and it looks horrible. So I try to write this to stealgather all the fixes that I have found and turn it into a guide for newcomers to make Dolphin functions as close as it was on KDE.

This guide focuses on Vanilla Niri. I personally don't use any plugin or theming shell so I don't know exactly how they work.

Running Windows 10/11 Guest with GPU Passthrough using laptop running Fedora

Abstract

This is a full guide for people who wanted to set up Windows 10/11 VM with QEMU/KVM hypervisor enhancements for a laptop that is configured with hybrid graphics card like Intel/AMD + NVIDIA. This process will take about 1 to 2 hours, depending on your system's performance and your patience =)

There is another comprehensive guide you can follow here (shoutout to asus-linux team who made supergfxctl which is a very important tool for this guide). It is more up-to-date than mine. I would probably incorporate those information into my guide, but you are welcome to use this one as a reference!

Before we proceed:

• This guide is exclusively for Fedora users because this distro is quite different to set up than other distro such as Arch. I would say Arch is easier to setup than Fedora, but sometimes you like to use Fedora than Arc

By looking that you are here you most likely use Cardboard/Banner/some other weird bukkit + Fabric project (or just someone linked to it).

Don't do it, it will cause more harm/instabilities to your server than good. But let's start at the beginning.

Few definitions before we start:

• Bukkit - It means bukkit, spigot, paper and any forks of these,
• Cardboard - mod by IsaiahPatton that tries to port bukkit ecosystem to fabric.
• Banner - another mod trying to make plugins work with Fabric, similar to Cardboard.
• Fabric - a Minecraft modding platform, includes Fabric Loader and Fabric API, everything written in this gist also applies to Quilt.
• Mods - Mods designed for fabric and compatible platforms

All packages, except for Tini have been added to termux-root. To install them, simply pkg install root-repo && pkg install docker. This will install the whole docker suite, left only Tini to be compiled manually.
