## Data Storage

The Extension uses Chrome's built-in storage system (`chrome.storage.sync`) to save your configuration settings locally on your device. This includes:

- Your email address (for form submissions)
- Default unit number
- Default property manager name
- Spreadsheet column mappings

**This data is stored locally in your browser and synced across your Chrome devices (if you have Chrome Sync enabled).**

## Data Processing

All data processing happens **locally in your browser**:

- Reading selected rows from Google Sheets (processed in your browser)
- Generating form pre-fill URLs (processed in your browser)
- Opening forms with pre-filled data (processed in your browser)

**No data is sent to external servers, APIs, or third parties.**

## Permissions

The Extension requires the following permissions:

- **Storage**: To save your configuration settings locally
- **Tabs**: To open Google Forms in new browser tabs
- **Active Tab**: To read selected rows from Google Sheets (only when you click the extension button)

**The Extension only accesses Google Sheets when you explicitly click the "Fill Form" button.**

## Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with:

- **Google Sheets**: To read selected row data (only when you click the extension button)
- **Google Forms**: To open pre-filled forms (opens in new tabs)

**The Extension does not transmit data to these services - it only reads data you've selected and opens forms you've requested.**
