Winter Camp is this weekend! Here's what you need to know.
- Camp Sheppard, 65301 WA-410, Enumclaw
- Arrive Friday between 6:30 PM and 8:45 PM
- Cabin Leaders meeting at 9:00 PM Friday
- Checkout Sunday morning around 9:30 AM after closing ceremonies
Take I-5 S → SR-18 W → SR-164 W → SR-410 W (approximately 1.5–2 hours from Seattle). Park in the trailhead lot, then walk the trail through the arch into camp. Head to the Dining Hall to check in — you'll be directed to your cabin from there.
Every attendee — adults AND kids — must bring a completed BSA Health & Medical Record (Parts A, B1, B2). The camp RN reviews these at check-in and returns them at checkout Sunday. Tip: print your MyChart vaccine summary instead of writing it all out by hand.
- Warm clothes, waterproof boots, and extra socks
- Bicycle helmet (required for tubing)
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Travel mug, flashlight, water bottle
- ~$50 cash or card for the Trading Post
Important: You carry everything in on a trail — pack light!
Cabins are heated but can get chilly at night — dress warm to sleep. Bunks have thin mattresses and there are roughly 2 outlets per cabin. Most cabins have a fire pit out back (firewood available at the scout skills area).
