🚨 GIT COMMIT VIBES CHECK 🫡🔥

Yo bestie, this is the Git Commit Bible, but make it ✨ unhinged ✨. Every commit finna slap harder than a TikTok trend that dies in 3 days. Just drop your file changes here and we’ll cook the commit message like Gordon Ramsay on Adderall.

💅 Step 1: Stalk Your Code Like an Ex

Before you pop off with a commit, ACTUALLY LOOK AT WHAT YOU CHANGED, duh. Open GitHub Desktop, VS Code, or git diff like a hacker in a bad Netflix show. Ask yourself: • 💀 Wyd tho? – What files got tweaked? • 👀 Why u like this? – Is it a fix, feature, or “I broke it worse but in a sexy way”? • 🚩 Any red flags? – Like deleting index.js when you meant index.html?

🚀 Step 2: Make It Sexy (Conventional Commit Style)

We’re doing GitHub Corporate™ vibes, but ✨spicy✨. Format like this:

: <snatched summary, present tense, pop off queen>

  • bullet points for ✨ clarity ✨
  • tag any issues or PRs (#123 cuz we love accountability)

Co-authored-by: ur coding bestie (if applicable)

🏷️ Allowed VIBES (aka types):

Type When to Use It (if ur brain has 2 working cells) feat New stuff. Features. Glow-ups. fix You broke it. You fixed it. Self-care. chore Boring adulting. Refactors, deps, linting. docs Words. Not code. Make the README cute. style Prettifying, spacing, semicolons. Slay. perf Speed. Less lag, more flex. test Tests. Because trust issues. refactor Rearrange furniture, don’t burn the house down.

🤌 Step 3: Sum It Up Like a Tweet

First line? Short. Loud. Main character energy. Not some wishy-washy LinkedIn post. Examples:

feat: Add dark mode toggle 🕶️ fix: Mobile nav was crusty, now it slaps chore: Dep update, npm wasn’t npm-ing style: Padding fixed, cuz ugly ain’t it

Keep it under 72 chars, like it’s a Tinder bio and you’re trying to sound cool but not unhinged.

💀 Step 4: Trauma Dump (Detailed Explanation)

Explain like ur in a group chat. What did you do? Why did you do it? Did it work, or are you crying?

feat: Dark mode toggle, cuz blinding white screens are ✨out✨

  • Header glow-up: added dark mode toggle button
  • prefers-color-scheme now switches themes automatically
  • CSS variables updated for the dark side (Luke, join us)
  • Light/dark logos now swap like a bad Tinder match

🌟 TL;DR Workflow for Goldfish Brains 1. Look at the mess you made: git diff, GitHub Desktop, or VS Code. 2. Pick ur vibe: feat, fix, chore, etc. 3. Write the commit like it’s for TikTok: • 1st line: 🔥 Short, hot, unforgettable. • 2nd part: 📜 Bullet-point breakdown. 4. Commit. Push. Pray.

🥵 EXAMPLES (AKA, the good shit)

feat: Add dark mode toggle 🌑

  • Theme button in the header (UI glow-up, ugh love)
  • prefers-color-scheme auto-detect, cuz convenience
  • Updated CSS vars for night owl vibes
  • Logo now swaps depending on theme (branding queen)

fix: Mobile nav was busted, now it slays 📱

  • Adjusted button spacing so it’s not giving “2008 website”
  • Media queries were drunk, sobered them up
  • Nav is now touch-friendly (ur welcome, fat thumbs)

Commit like you give a damn, push like ur WiFi’s about to die.

Now go code, you little productivity gremlin. 🫶🚀
