sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
Change "trixie" to "forky" everywhere you see it. Save and close the document.
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
After the upgrade has completed:
sudo reboot
Since this will change your apt sources to Forky, currently in testing, and is the best way to get the latest GNOME (currently version 49)
It works very well. Nautilus should now generate and cache thumbs for all image and video files on network drives (when the setting to do so has been activated), not just a random few of them without caching as with the locked version of GNOME 48 on Debian 13. You can also use Nemo as the file manager to get this function working correctly.
Thanks
