Rubik's cube Cheatsheet

1. Make the daisy

  • Place the white edge pieces around the yellow center on the top face.

2. Create the white cross

  • Turn the top layer until a white edge piece lines up so that its other color matches the center of that side.
  • Then flip that edge down with F.

3. Solve the corners of the white face (complete the first layer)

  • Find a white corner piece and move it so its other two colors match their corresponding side centers.
  • Do R U R' if the white sticker is on the right.
  • Do L' U' L if the white sticker is on the left.

4. Solve the second layer

  • Insert the middle-layer edge pieces using R U R' U' or L' U' L U.
  • After inserting, reposition and solve any affected white corners the same way as in step 3.

5. Create the yellow cross

  • Do F U R U' R' F'

6. Solve the yellow face

  • Do R U R' U R U2 R'
  • Keep the yellow sticker in the upper-right corner of the left face.
  • Hold the cube so the “fish” shape points down and to the left from your perspective.

7. Position the corners

  • Do L' U R U' L U2 R' U R U2 R'
  • If one face already has matching corner pieces, hold that face on the left.
  • Continue until all corners match their side colors.

8. Position the edges

  • If one face is completely solved, hold that face away from you.
  • If no side is solved, do the counter-clockwise algorithm twice.
  • Clockwise: F2 U R' L F2 L' R U F2
  • Counter-clockwise: F2 U' R' L F2 L' R U' F2
