Label Function Description
A1 & A2 Armature These are the main power inputs for the DC motor. Applying DC voltage here turns the motor. Reversing the polarity changes the direction of rotation.
T1 & T2 Tacho These connect to the internal Tachogenerator. It outputs a DC voltage proportional to the motor's speed ($9.5V/1000$ RPM per the label). The controller uses this for precise speed feedback.
K1 & K2 Thermostat These are for the internal Thermal Switch (normally closed). It monitors the motor's temperature. If the motor overheats, the circuit opens to signal the drive to shut down and prevent burnout.

If you are retrofitting this to a modern CNC controller (like Centroid, LinuxCNC, or Mach4):

  • A1/A2 go to the motor output of your DC Servo Drive.
  • T1/T2 go to the "Tacho" or "Feedback" inputs (ensure the polarity matches your drive's requirements, or the motor may "run away").
  • K1/K2 should be wired into your E-Stop string or a "Fault" input on the drive to protect the motor from overheating.
