A pain in the azzahar...

Part 0: Prerequisites

You will need:

• An up-to-date homebrewed 3DS
  • To update, download Luma3DS
  • Unzip the archive and place its contents (config, boot.3dsx and boot.firm) on the root of your 3DS SD card and then boot your 3DS
• Azahar Arctic Setup Tool
• Nimbus
  • Download the combined zip

Azahar Arctic Setup Tool is used to transfer 3DS system files to Azahar emulator. Nimbus is used to enable a 3DS (real or emulated) to connect to Pretendo servers.

Part 1: 3DS Setup

Azahar needs your real 3DS system files to play online. We'll use the Arctic Setup Tool to do transfer them over.

1. In Azahar: Emulation > Configure... > System
   1. Ensure that the following options are ticked:
      1. Enable New 3DS Mode
      2. Use LLE applets (if installed)
      3. Enabled required LLE modules for online features (if installed)
   2. Ensure that the region is set to the region of your 3DS
2. Download Azahar Arctic Setup Tool on your 3DS
   1. Place the .cia file on your 3DS' SD card and install it with FBI
3. Open Azahar Arctic Setup Tool, start the setup tool, and note the IP and port
4. In Azahar Emulator: File > Set Up System Files
   1. Enter the ip:port exactly as shown on your 3DS
      1. Ensure that the setup mode is set to Old 3DS
   2. Press OK. The emulator will open and go through a system update
5. Repeat step 4, but set the Setup Mode to New 3DS
   1. You can now turn off your 3DS. You won't be needing it anymore

Part 2: Azahar Setup

1. Unip the combined Nimbus archive
2. In Azahar, File > Install CIA..., and load nimbus.cia from the archive
   1. Nimbus should now be listed among the installed titles in the emulator menu
3. In Azahar, File > Open Azahar Folder and Navigate into the sdmc folder
   1. Copy the luma folder from the Nimbus archive and paste it into this sdmc folder
4. In Azahar, File > Boot Home Menu > Your Region
   1. Open Nimbus from the emulated home menu and tap Pretendo. This should kick you back to the home menu
   2. Open the Mii Maker and make a mii
   3. Once created, check the friends menu on the top bar and confirm that you have a profile and that the system is online

You should now be able to play online.
