Privacy Policy for NeurIPS25

Overview

NeurIPS25 is a conference companion app designed to help you navigate the NeurIPS 2025 conference. Your privacy is important to us.

Data Collection

NeurIPS25 does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers or third parties.

All data stays on your device.

What Data is Stored Locally

The following data is stored only on your device:

  • Session Preferences: Which sessions you've marked as attending
  • Personal Notes: Your notes and ratings for sessions and papers
  • Meeting Schedules: Meetings you've scheduled with other attendees
  • Contact Information: People you've added to your personal contact list
  • App Settings: Your preferences for the app

Data Storage

  • All data is stored in your device's local storage
  • No data is transmitted to any external servers
  • No cloud synchronization (unless you use iOS backup)
  • No analytics or tracking services

Data Sharing

  • You control your data: Export features allow YOU to share your schedule/notes at your discretion
  • No automatic sharing: We never share your data automatically
  • No third parties: We don't use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services
  • No user accounts: The app doesn't require login or account creation

Data Deletion

You can delete all app data by:

  1. Deleting the NeurIPS25 app from your device, or
  2. Using the "Clear All Data" options within the app (if available)

All data will be permanently removed from your device.

iOS Backup

If you use iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backup:

  • Your app data may be included in your device backup
  • This is controlled by iOS system settings, not by our app
  • To exclude our app from backups, go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups

Children's Privacy

NeurIPS25 does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is designed for academic and professional use at a scientific conference.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.

Third-Party Links

The app may contain links to external websites (e.g., conference websites, paper repositories). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • You have complete control over your data
  • You can access all your data within the app
  • You can delete all data by deleting the app
  • No data subject access requests are needed (you already have all your data)

  • Apple App Store Guidelines
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - by not collecting any data
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) - by not collecting any data
  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) - by not collecting any data

Summary: NeurIPS25 is a privacy-first app. All your data stays on your device. We don't collect anything.
