By submitting a pull request and signing this ICLA, you grant to the Project Owner and to recipients of the software a perpetual, worldwide, non‑exclusive, no‑charge, royalty‑free, irrevocable:
- Copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and derivative works thereof, under the Project’s license (Apache‑2.0).
- Patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contributions, limited to patent claims you own or control that are necessarily infringed by your Contributions alone or by combination with the Project.
You represent that:
- You are legally entitled to grant these licenses.
- Your Contributions are your original creation, or you have sufficient rights to submit them.
- Your Contributions do not knowingly include third‑party confidential information.
Unless you state otherwise in writing, you request that attribution be made to you as a contributor.
If you are signing on behalf of a company, the company (“Company”) grants the same copyright and patent licenses as in Section A for Contributions made by its authorized contributors.
Authorized Contributors. Company is responsible for designating and maintaining a list of individuals authorized to submit Contributions on Company’s behalf. Company agrees that Contributions by those individuals within the scope of their work for Company are covered by this CCLA.
Warranties. Company represents that it has sufficient rights to grant these licenses and that Contributions submitted by its authorized contributors do not knowingly include third‑party confidential information.
Scope and Effect. This CCLA does not affect the Project’s outbound license (Apache‑2.0). Company may withdraw authorization for specific individuals prospectively by updating the authorized list and notifying the Project, but previously submitted Contributions remain licensed.
- No support obligation is created by this CLA.
- This CLA is the entire agreement regarding Contributions. If any part is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective.
- Governing law: jurisdiction of the contributor or Company (conflict‑of‑law rules excluded).
Signature via CLA assistant. By completing the CLA assistant form in the pull‑request check, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the applicable terms above (ICLA if you sign personally; CCLA if you sign for a Company).
