| Sensitivity is way too low in-game for some reason, but can be turned past the regular max value | |
| If you taunt, Tony will move slowly. However if you do this while firing and sprinting he will continue to move at full speed. | |
| Turn antialiasing off for better mouse movement | |
| IMPORTANT: ENEMIES HAVE A TENDENCY TO GET STUCK *INSIDE* BUILDINGS, RECOMMEND CARRYING A GRENADE LAUNCHER OR BAZOOKA AS SAFETY. | |
| You can hold sprint (shift by default) to sprint during most actions, including reloading and shooting. If you run around in a serpertine fashion or in circles while shooting enemies, they seem to have a much tougher time shooting you. | |
| Tony runs faster with no weapon equipped. | |
| Total "balls" received contributes to thresholds which unlock new femme fatales you can talk to on the world map to get health/stamina/balls upgrades (may be unnecessary). | |
| Cannot go to other islands and defeat gangs for large sums of money early, groups of enemies appear but they do not count as a gang and give pisspoor rewards. | |
| Each gang only appears during a certain time in the day and since it'll probably be the best way to get turf they probably have to be routed in in some weird way. Gangs seem to give 3 to 7% turf (AFAIK this is consistent per gang), with higher % gangs giving a higher cash/drugs payout, but they have way more enemies. For a good route, will probably have to find each gang, find out what time of day they are active at, and how much turf% they give. Although for just as fair as turf is concerned, an unoptimized route through South Beach and North Beach shouldn't be *that* much slower than an optimized one (esp South Beach), but it's a bit of an issue in Little Havana due to cash. | |
| Cost for heat repayment/laundering goes up with reputation level | |
| If a gang retaliation occurs (which you'll probably want to be paying off gang heat a lot so it won't even happen esp because it could be disasterous esp during distribution) all gangs and missions will be disabled and a front will be attacked, just repair the front afterwards. This DOES reduce gang heat all the way down to just under 1/2, but it's probably just more efficient to keep paying gang heat down in more ways than one. | |

| Nothing | |
| ------- | |
| Begin playthrough, Reputation Level 1 | |
| Some tutorial missions, ending when Tony brings the armored car to the bank. | |
| ~notes on these missions go here probably~ | |
| Note: When selling coke to the first dealer, if the player gets only $6,000 a second will spawn, but if they get $10,000 then they will not. If the runner does $6,000 on the first dealer they can get rid of all their drugs and have $17,000. However, Tony will have $11,000 if done perfect, and can deal with dealers, kill them, and reduce heat for a $6,000 profit each time on rep level 1, which may be a good way of raising funds early game. | |
| ~nah but seriously for now for the most part run past all the enemies in these parts, maybe pick up the shotgun from an enemy in the hotel mission (although it may still be slower than the microuzi just due to the firerate)~ | |
| Reputation level after intro: 119,115 (117,115 second time - there's some reputation bonuses for some unknown things in missions) | |
| Cash after intro (ideal): should be $41,430 ($7,000 + $50,000 - 1% - $15,000, not counting cash pickups from enemies) | |
| *Pedro's Pawn Shop | |
| Notes: | |
| Reputation reward: 3,275 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |
| Costs $50,000, gives ? rep and 20 Little Havana Turf, req. | |
| Player must get 150,000 reputation and go to mansion to level up before doing more missions. | |
| ~~~Raise those funds, buy some shit~~~ | |
| Go to mansion | |
| Reputation Level 2 | |
| *Oakley Drive-In Theater | |
| Notes: Game spawns a slow, medium durability generic vehicle for the player to get into for this mission. However, the player can use their own car if they park it near the theatre (not sure how close it has to be before it despawns, if it does), Orient YV is a fast car which is probably not a bad choice. Lots of boring vehicular combat. | |
| Reputation reward: 45,740 | |
| Cash reward: $80,000 | |
| Costs $100,000, gives 20,000 rep and 20 Little Havana Turf, req. | |
| *Cabana Cigar | |
| Notes: The driver doesn't seem to properly deliver cars in front of Cabana Cigar, whether in a mission or not. Grab a car from traffic and drive to the docks. Ignore goons during the boat ride and hopefully get a lucky headshot on the accountant at the end. | |
| Reputation reward: 5,090 | |
| Cash reward: $10,000 | |
| Costs $75,000, gives 10,000 rep and 20 Little Havana Turf, req. | |
| ~~~Get 90% Turf Ownership of Little Havana~~~ | |
| Get Turf Ownership by defeating gangs (probably best) or doing Felix Leads. | |
| *Babylon Club Redux | |
| Notes: When you get to The Diaz Brothers, just run past all the enemies -- I think Edgar drops a Micro SMG you can use to dispatch Alfonso, otherwise just take one of the microuzi guys out. You get 500g of drugs here. | |
| Reputation reward: 66,510 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |
| *Havana Storehouse | |
| Notes: Just shoot shit. Micro Uzi is probably fastest, but the player can pick up the shotgun here from most enemies. They don't have to kill all enemies to trigger the next phase, just killing the manage should do it. Also, the truck closest to the destroyed wall is the most vulnerable. | |
| Reputation reward: 101,720 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |
| There's 2 keys to distribute now, fuck that shit. Unless you can't afford to fuck that shit, I guess -- use the Orient YV probably if this is necessary. The player has to acquire 500,000 rep to get up to level 3 now but they should be fairly close. | |
| ~Acquire 500,000 rep, take stretch limo to mansion and level up.~ | |
| Reputation Level 3 | |
| ~Buy AK-47, dunno if it is better than Carbine Assault Rifle at level 5~ | |
| *Freedom Town Redux | |
| Notes: Very easy if you have full rage when you start this mission. Punch out the guy with the machete, whack a guy with an AK-47, and immediately activate rage. Should be able to take out around half the enemies in the area. Can Pablo be killed early on the boat instead of destroying it? YOU WILL NEED TO REACQUIRE WEAPONS FOLLOWING THIS MISSION. | |
| Reputation reward: 52,340 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |
| Save here if stretch limo | |
| Loading savefile here after saving teleports player to North Beach bank. Is it faster to do this rather than drive back with boat? Definitely should be if player has Stretch Limo at this point, then they can just fast travel to Cabana Cigars to begin Downtown missions. | |
| Downtown Businesses | |
| *Fidel's Records | |
| Notes: The mission spawns a (slow) car for the player in front of the property, as long as your car isn't parked there it shouldn't be despawned. The manager can NOT be dragged out of his car. The manager really doesn't seem like he wants to get out until he gets halfway to South Beach, so perhaps just letting him go until that point may be faster? Oh and failing this mission will softlock your game and your savefile if you save, so don't fail it <3 | |
| Reputation reward: 11,080 | |
| Cash reward: 60,000 | |
| Costs $160,000, gives 75,000 rep and 15 Downtown turf, req. | |
| *Babylon Club | |
| Notes: Can be entered quicker from the back. The VIP sticks *very* closely towards Tony, so you can move around the backside of the club fairly quickly. There is a first aid kid in the kitchen you can grab at the last part of the mission, if needed. | |
| Reputation reward: 51,890 | |
| Cash reward: 250,000 | |
| Costs $1,000,000, gives 600,000 (!!) rep and 15 Downtown turf, req. (This should mean that rep level 4 shouldn't be any sort of barrier, unless we need the rep 4 suppliers) | |
| *U-Gin Shotgun Bar | |
| Notes: Shoot the guy with the blue hat and purple jacket. Was on a jetboat that took forever and came through the southern entrance on my playthrough. Would shooting the wrong guys make him show up quicker? | |
| Reputation reward: 10,000 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |
| Costs $80,000 to purchase, gives 40,000 rep, 15 Downtown turf, req. | |
| *O'Grady's Liquor Store | |
| Notes: Just shoot enemies with AK-47, avoid parking your car near doorways otherwise you will have to go out and get the enemies. | |
| Reputation reward: 44,200 | |
| Cash reward: $100,000 | |
| Costs $120,000 to purchase, gives 45,000 rep, 15 Downtown turf, req. | |
| ~Phonecall~ | |
| ~Acquire 1,000,000 rep (which you should have unless you found some weird sequence break) and take a stretch limo back to your mansion to level up~ | |
| Reputation Level 4 | |
| ~Buy AK47 Mag Upgrade~ | |
| ~Buy Grenade Launcher as safety, enemies can glitch out in Marina Storehouse~ | |
| ~Get 90 Downtown Turf~ | |
| *Marina Storehouse | |
| Notes: Use AK47 with doublemag - Just sprint around, shoot guys near entrance, go up the stairs on the building and shoot the guys on the roof, then go immediately back down. AK47 doublemag will also take down the helicopter in one magazine. | |
| Reputation reward: 153,920 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |
| 4KGs are placed in the Marina Storehouse following the mission. There is also a phonecall immediately following the mission, and the distribution mission cannot be activated while listening to it. | |
| ~Go to boat dock, and take the floatplane to the Venus Bar Dock at the islands. Drive over to Sandman from here, there's also some side missions at the bar later but I'm not sure if any are worthwhile. NOTE: If "Renovate" or better Mansion not purchased, player will have to take a longer route to the mansion boat dock.~ | |
| ~Go up north to the Sandman~ | |
| The Sandman gives you 50,000 rep. Nice guy. | |
| ~Go back south down to Venus Bar and trigger the cutscene. The missions here are not mandatory.~ | |
| ~notes on the missions if they are actually worth doing I guess~ | |
| ~Acquire 3,000,000 rep and level up~ | |
| Reputation Level 5 | |
| Floatplane over to the islands, to that one that *doesn't* have the Venus Bar on it. | |
| *Nacho Contreras | |
| Notes: Run and gun, biggest threats are getting punched and stunlocked in tight corridors and the guys with AK47s overlooking open areas (most notably, in the staircase room there's a guy on the right on the top level). Additionally, following the first checkpoint, enemies can end up shooting explosive barrels next to Tony which, if not killing him, can end up stunlocking him and getting him shot to death. With some practice, you can kill the snipers at the end with an AK (or Carbine depending on which is better I guess) with freeaim headshots while running towards them, but it may be faster (and safer) to just use rage. | |
| Reputation reward: 501,000 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |
| Go back to the docks, talk to the dock operator. | |
| *The Dock Boss | |
| Notes: Gotta revisit to find out a better way to do this. Barrels and vehicles can be blown up to kill enemies near them. | |
| Reputation reward: 52,450 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |
| Realize that your reputation level is now SCARF, then talk to the dock operator again to begin the next mission. Collect the healthkits on the way over I guess, you'll probably need it for Nacho's Tanker. Unless your health refills anyway when you reload, who knows. | |
| *The Informer | |
| Notes: Call for a fast boat like the Picklefork, and then just shoot the guy on top of the yacht with a gun like the AK. Man this mission is over fast. | |
| Reputation reward: 25,050 | |
| Cash reward: $100,000 | |
| Save here, reload save. Talk to dock operator. | |
| *Nacho's Tanker | |
| Notes: Not sure if the chopper sequence performance affects enemy spawns, test this -- I think I got less spawns than when playing this more casually but it may be because I'm speeding through the mission. Well first of all you got three sliders you've got to epic succeed otherwise you're back at the beginning of the tanker checkpoint so good luck. You can defuse bombs while enemies are shooting at you (and while you're shooting at enemies even, with a nice little sound bug). The additional bombs are *NOT* active until the boats are destroyed, although if you go down to the opening at the lower level of the tanker to take out the drivers with an AK it seems like enemy spawns are more favorable (might be to chopper tho). The boats after defusing the bomb at the bottom of the tanker can be ignored, as the last bomb is active after defusal. The captain spawns at the top of the control tower after the last bomb is defused, and killing him ends the tanker portion of this mission. After being dropped off at the dock, go up the ramp and immediately hang a right, freeaim to destroy the explosive barrels in front of you and make a beeline for the X on your minimap. Kill the leader to end the mission. All in all this mission requires more testing. | |
| Reputation reward: 254,000 | |
| Cash reward: 0 | |

| Notes: Go around the corner to get to the ramp to drive into the storehouse, and enter the building there to kill the manager (additionally the manager does have a deagle which is a OHK against enemies but really slow). Activate rage on the way back out and make sure to kill everyone inside the warehouse. Everyone has to be killed to activate the next phase. Go down to the docks and shoot the boats with a bazooka. There are 5 boats and you carry only 4 bazookas, but the AK also takes the boats out quickly. | |

When you get to the next truck, shoot the guys ahead that spawn and get into the driver's car, then drive into the Chop Shop to the next truck. | The getaway car seems to rubberband so put a picture of its route here sometime. | |

| *Kill Sosa | |
| Notes: Tony spawns with only 7 Deagle shots, but the guard have AKs that can be picked up. Many guards have to be killed to progress. The guy with a bazooka up top can be baited into hitting the railing and killing many guards that pool up there. When the "Kill Sheffield" message comes up, the gate on the west side of the courtyard will be opened. Kill Sheffield, shoot the door at the opposite end of the courtyard with a bazooka and then unequip your weapon and run down. There is a staircase in the back right area which you can use to get up. Follow Gaspar around and shoot him enough, then head immediately to Sosa's room, and just fire a few bullets at him. | |
