Hey, all --

I wanted to let you know that I'm planning on retiring from work in the public hacking scene.

Atmosphere (and my work on the Switch) have been an enormous labor of love for me for the past eight and a half years, and it's been an honor for me to dedicate so much of my life towards this kind of work.

That said, I am getting older. I find myself with less time to dedicate towards it, more responsibilities, and a changing personal life.

Particularly with my hoping to have kids in a foreseeable time horizon, I'm thinking I have to re-evaluate how much time I can spend on hobby projects.

I have the kind of personality that doesn't want to put in only a little work; I think that less-than-a-full retirement would likely lead to no actual changes in the time I put in.

I've truly appreciated getting to work with so many talented people (many of whom have been close friends for so many years), and I appreciate everyone's understanding as I try to transition to the next phase of my life.

Thank you sooo much for your awesome work with Nintendo Switch scene, without you I've couldn't enjoy the console as much as I did it, not only playing but following your steps with all the code and project organization.

Sad for switch scene, glad for you. Tyvm for your hard work and inmense contributions to the scene, Pokémon and probably many things I don't know about . I hope one day I can contribute the scene even if just a 1% of what you did for all of us. Happy parenting hehe. GodSpeed. You are a referent for many of us. Good luck on next life stages :)

I've always been impressed by your sheer dedication over the years, the constant cat and mouse game with nintendo is one that I very quickly realized wasn't for me, and you went above and beyond to track every little change and build what is most of the difficult part of a compatible operating system. It's crazy what you managed to do, really. Wish you well on your future endeavors :)

Thank you for your huge contribution, for me you are an inspiration for fully committing to hobbies for several years.
I hope you will continue living the life you choose in the terms that are best for you!
