Effective date: December 2025.
Message From Staff ("the Bot") collects and stores limited data to operate its features:
- Message content: text of messages created through the Bot
- Author information: Discord user ID and username of the message creator
- Guild and channel IDs: to associate stored messages with their correct server and channel
This data is only collected when using the Bot's features and is necessary to allow authorized users to edit messages after they are sent.
Data is stored securely in Amazon Web Services (AWS) DynamoDB, where the Bot is also hosted. All stored data may be deleted periodically based on performance considerations and storage costs.
Collected data is used exclusively to:
- Enable message editing functionality
- Maintain data consistency and prevent unauthorized changes
- Monitor and improve application reliability and performance
- Ensure that the Bot is not used in ways that violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
No user data is sold, shared, or transferred to third parties. Data is only processed by the Bot and stored within AWS infrastructure under the developers control.
Reasonable measures are in place to protect stored data from unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion. However, no system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Users or server administrators may request deletion of data related to their server or account by contacting the developers via Discord. Data may also be automatically removed as part of regular cleanup and maintenance.
This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. Updates will be announced through the Bot's support server. Continued use of the Bot after any changes indicates acceptance of the new policy.
For questions or data deletion requests, contact the developers via Discord: https://discord.gg/QrG7uFZfsy.
