Life Lessons from CJ
* Life Lesson #1 - Learn by Doing
* Just build shit, then build more shit and after that build more shit.
* Don't be afraid to break things.
* Life Lesson #2 - Make Friends and Be Nice to _Everyone_
* You never know when they'll be able to help you with something
* And if they don't, you made a friend out of it, get over yourself
* Life Lesson #3 - It's much harder to say no to a working thing/prototype than it is to say no to an idea of a thing
* No one _asked me_ to automate the process.
* I did not ask for permission to do it, I just _did it_
* Life Lesson #4 - Doing _nothing_ for money is not rewarding
* As cool as it was to get paid to browse reddit, I want to _do_ something useful, I want to be challenged, I want to grow as a human
* Life Lesson #5 - Long Commutes SUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKK
* I was commuting over an hour each way, to browse reddit for 8 hours.
* Life Lesson #6 - If you know what you want, be vocal and explicit about it.
* I wanted to write code. I wanted to be challenged. I wanted to be working on cool things.
* Life Lesson #7 - Take Advantage of the Opportunities You are Given: Learn as Much As You Can
* Ultimately corporate life was not for me, BUT I learned a ton.
* I would not be the software developer I am today without that experience.
* "Do your time..."
* Life Lesson #8 - If you have the freedom and time to be picky in your job search, DO IT
* You may need to go for the first offer you get, BUT if you don't, use the time to weigh your options, do your research, find the right fit.
* Life Lesson #9 - Sometimes you need to do what's right for _you_
* I feel bad for leaving my team. I feel bad for leaving my students. BUT ultimately it's what's right for me right now in my career.
* Life Lesson #10 - Be Humble. Be genuine. Be Honest. Be A Good Person. Good things will come your way.
* People can sense Bull Shit.
* If you're arrogant, misleading, dishonest, and/or you _are_ a shitty person, just pretend to be me.
