SCORING

Scoring is standard 0.5PPR + 0.5PPFD. This means that in addition to the normal fantasy football scoring rules, a half point is awarded for rushing or receiving first downs and for every reception. The Quaterback does not receive any additional points for throwing a first down.

In the past, we ran a standard 1PPR league. The change to 0.5PPR + 0.5PPFD aims to reduce the amount of points running backs receive on dump off plays that earn little or negative yardage.

NEW: Fumbles that do not result in a change of position are 0 pts, instead of -1

WAIVERS

We are using the FAAB system for waivers. This means that you are awarded 100 "dollars" at the beginning of the year. When you make a waiver claim, you may spend any amount of your remaining money (or none of it) on your claim - functioning as a blind bid. If at the end of the waiver period (2 days) multiple teams have claimed a player, only the player with the highest bid takes the player for their roster. No other team is charged.

Tiebreaker information, or more details in general, can be read in Sleeper's documentation.

In the past, we used the Rolling Waivers system. The change to FAAB was made to allow more strategy, via the bidding process, and to avoid penalizing uncontested waiver claims.

PLAYOFFS

Playoffs will start week 14 or 15. 6 Teams qualify. The two highest seeded teams will have a bye.

Simultaneously, a lower bracket will be played for the 8 teams which did not qualify. The winner of the lower bracket gets to choose his draft position for the next season.

ROSTER

The roster consists of 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 2 FLEX (WR/RB/TE), 1 Kicker, and 1 Defense. There are 5 bench slots and 1 IR slot. Only players on injured reserve or players on the COVID-19 Reserve List may be placed into the IR slot.

In the past, we had no IR slot. This IR slot was added to reduce the impact of bad injury luck on a team - it may be especially needed due to COVID.

THE DRAFT

The draft will be held at 6:30 on Monday, September 6th. You will need to be present - if you are not, your team will be picked for you by the computer. It will be a snake draft - meaning that the player to pick last in the first round will have the first pick in the second round, and so on. Draft picks may be traded.

TRADING

Trades can be vetoed only be the comissioner. I will only do so if there is blatant collusion occuring. The trade deadline is week 10.

As always, I'm open to feedback - please leave any questions or comments in the chat, or send me a message.
