These are a few restaurants among many!
- The Golden Pinion: New place, opened by the former cook of the (sadly) closed Taos diner northside. Cheap and good New Mexico and traditional breakfast, try the homemade biscuits. 10 min drive, Arroyo Seco.
- Farmhouse cafe: A bit more upscale, traditional breakfast type place- excellent atomosphere and is a joy to sit outside weather permitting. Dog freindly outside. 10 min drive, El Prado
- Gutiz: We haven't been here, but well known and supposed to have the best egg benedict in the state. 15 min drive, in Taos.
- Sushi Siam: Bento boxes, Thai food, and yes, sushi, all served by extremely friendly staff from Thailand. 15 minute drive, in Taos.
- Bent Street Grill: A little touristy, but when the weather is nice its a great spot for people watching. 15 minute drive, in Taos
- The burger stand: Great food, even better beer selection, also dog friendly outside. 15 minute drive, in Taos.
- Aji: Our favorite restaurant, must not miss! Peruvian/Spanish inspired, but something for everyone, reservations optional. 15 min drive, in Taos.
- Medley: Modern american menu, and a nice atomosphere. Great selection of wines. Be sure to make a reservation. 10 minute drive, in Arroyo Seco.
- Lamberts: Upscale American menu, lots of locally sourced ingredients. Nice spot to top off an evening strolling through the shops in town. Be sure to make a reservation. 15 min drive, in Taos

- Walmart, Albertsons, and Smiths have the normal selection of groceries and are in Taos along the main (Paseo del Pueblo) road.
